Children Ages 2 to 5:

    • Game: Play a simple game of "Pass the Dove." Use a soft toy dove or any plushie and pass it around while saying a prayer for the Holy Spirit to fill each person with His love.
    • Recipe: Bake "Holy Spirit" cupcakes with white frosting and decorate with flame-shaped candies or red sprinkles to symbolize the flames of Pentecost.

Children Ages 6 to 9:

Materials Needed:
  1. Cardboard or a sturdy paper tube (such as a paper towel roll or wrapping paper tube)
  2. Construction paper or cardstock in various colors
  3. Scissors
  4. Glue or tape
  5. String or yarn
  6. Hole punch
  7. Decorative materials (markers, stickers, glitter, etc.)
  8. Optional: small bells or chimes

Instructions:

  1. Begin by decorating your paper tube with symbols of the Holy Spirit. Draw or cut out shapes such as doves, flames, or crosses from the construction paper or cardstock. You can also use markers, stickers, or glitter to embellish the symbols.
  2. Glue or tape the symbols onto the paper tube, arranging them in a pleasing pattern.
  3. Next, cut long strips of construction paper or cardstock to create streamers. You can use one color or multiple colors for a vibrant effect.
  4. Glue or tape the streamers to the inside of the paper tube, allowing them to hang down freely.
  5. If you have small bells or chimes, you can attach them to the ends of the streamers to create a gentle tinkling sound in the wind.
  6. Once your wind chime is decorated and assembled, use a hole punch to make two holes near the top of the paper tube.
  7. Cut a length of string or yarn and thread it through the holes to create a loop for hanging.
  8. Hang your Holy Spirit Wind Chime outside in a place where it can catch the wind. As the breeze blows, watch and listen as it creates beautiful music and movement, reminding you of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
