The Road To Easter: Holy Week Activities for Little Ones

Our Lent activities consisted mainly on stories and re-telling them. And so will our Holy Week activities. We will be continuing our family traditions, from both sides of our families and make new ones - our new nuclear family. But of course we will be doing some easy activities to show God we love him. I have made a road map to guide us as we learn about Jesus' journey to the cross and until His resurrection. You can download it here . Tongues of Fire Wearable Craft Activity

Here's a craft that you can do with your children when learning about the gifts of the Holy Spirit or it can also be an activity for Pentecost. You will need: White sheets of paper, preferably one for each child A couple of red and yellow paper (if you don't have any, you may download the tongues of fire template here , color them out, then cut them) Glue Scissors Stapler or tape How to: 1. Prepare your tongues of fire. Preferably one for each child. You may want to make one for yourself too. Cut out a big flame from red paper. Cut out a small flame from yellow paper. You may use the template if you are not so confident in making the flame shape. If you will be using the flame template, let your children color or paint on it first before cutting. 2. I was given a prayer card by my grandmother (I think) and diligently said the novena until my request was granted. "St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore and tell him I will love him each day more and more." After the short prayer I would say 5 Our Father’s, 5 Hail Mary’s, and 5 Glory Be’s.
